Wildwood

I wasn't sure if I was going to purchase this book (the library is my friend) but the cover alone is the reason this book is now a part of my library. I imagine framing the cover for art one day (the book without the jacket is quite lovely too). Another major factor was the blurb from JSF.

For the time being, it sits pretty on my desk (finishing up Catching Fire) and once in awhile my eyes will dart over and a little smiles comes across my face. Yes the cover art makes me smile.

I love natural lighting. So it isn't surprising that I love Youngna Park's "Life Near Windows" series of photos.

nearing 100

The shop has been updated with six new items. All are pieces I love (especially that chevron skirt). I wish I hadn't bought new boat shoes because a week later I found these. I like how they have already been broken into. My boat shoes look so new and new shoes look so awkward.

the best random songs ever.

If you are asking yourself why I am up in this ungodly hour (4:55 AM PST), it is because I have a headache. I fell asleep hoping the pain away but woke up suddenly and now I can't go back to sleep. So here I am catching up on blogs. As background music, my i-tunes is opened and pretty much the only thing that can make me smile was the three random songs played by my i-tunes.

By the way, don't you just love those karaoke lyrics youtube videos? I do. & that Slow Club music video is my favorite, I can watch it over and over and I'll admit one time I watched it 5x in a row. The girl is just gorgeous and the boy isn't bad either. Good job i-tunes!

1 there's so much to love about this drawing. the girl, the boy and let's not forget the black cat. the starry night and the calmness around them.
2 gorgeous kitten. the coloring of this little kitty is just amazing. love the pale silver grey and black hair.
3 white cotton ball of a cat. have you noticed I love cats.
4 I feel like she fits in very well with the previous two pictures.

I skipped a picture in this tumblr share because one photo was too small to crop down. but it's this amazing mug. imagine serving a drink to a unsuspecting friend.

etsy wishlist: vintage edition

I haven't done this in awhile. the original plan was to share 5 vintage clothing/accessories that were in my etsy favorites that was still available. sadly only three vintage clothing/accessories were available for purchase, so I added two sold vintage items just to keep it at five.

about to go jogging, get some shaved ice, and relax the night away with some it's always sunny, project runway and parks & rec.

canvas tote.

I am the lucky winner of this lovely yellow canvas tote by fabric and handle. this is my first win from a blog giveaway and I am so grateful for mariah from size too small (host of giveaway) and fabric and handle.

funny how a couple months ago I almost bought a tote bag from j.crew (in red). and now I am getting one, albeit in a different color. 

fabric and handle has such lovely bags. I've been eyeing the shopping tote bag for awhile. check out their store, they really do have some great bags.

alexa chung x madewell

the alexa chung collection for madewell hits store on the 22nd and I made a conscious choice to purchase at least one piece from the collection. last year I was coveting every piece but due to circumstances of my bank and it not having money to spend on clothes, I had to let it be.

so the lookbook for the collection is out. and I am not excited. I think I will pass by choice this time around. it's hard to choose a favorite because I don't really any outfit, but I like how the outfit alexa is wearing above (not so much on the model) but I can recreate the outfit without having to purchase pieces from the collection. oh wells I guess I'll be scouring ebay for last years.

1 still looking for a bike. about a month ago I found the prettiest vintage bike at a thrift store for a deal. I told myself I'll think about it and less than 10 minutes later someone else scooped it up. I've been wanting a white bike but slowly considering orange (yes orange!).

3 I love simple prints. they are pretty when hanging, but I like the whole sitting them on the floor look too.
4 I don't really like dark. but I love how the flowers pop. and who doesn't like the decemberists?


thank goodness I finally finished watching mad men last week. now I have more time to spend surfing the web mindlessly. I think I was suckered into the last few episodes of mad men that I forgot to share my tumblr last friday. oops. but oh goodness, I am not sure how I can wait until 2012 for some more draper. and just after I finished and cancelled my netflix account, I am told that all seasons of breaking bad is on instant! ahh, decisions.

on the other hand, I have updated the etsy shop with some more cute pieces. there are so many lovely items that I loove that I will be adding soon. so come check it out.
